ARGON LASER (for Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinopathy etc.)

Diabetes :
Almost 70% of diabetics have their eyes affected. And this is a silent process, therefore, all diabetics require an eye checkup every year. And when the eyes are affected every three months. This laser is most useful in stopping the process of blindness that is secondary to diabetic retinopathy.

Glaucoma :
is a condition where the pressures in the eyes are raised above (21 mm Hg), pressing the optic nerve fibers thus leading to very slow onset blindness. This condition which is strictly detected by eye specialists. Therefore, yearly eye checkups after age 30 is extremely important. The pressure can be controlled with the Argon laser or lastly filtration surgery.

YAG LASER

Today's mode of cataract surgery with IOL can always lead to reduce eye sight after 2 years secondary to what we call an after cataract. This kind of cataract can be taken away by this laser in 2 minutes rather than an operation like in the olden days.

Please note that prior to attending a consultation for FREEDOM FROM GLASSES, contact lenses must not be worn for hard/gp lenses for 2 weeks and soft/disposable lenses for 4 days.
